A modular, dual-engine platform that unifies a structured discussion forum and an open marketplace into one ecosystem, with specialised support for pre-owned IT and tech, all under a single identity while keeping forum and marketplace data scopes cleanly distinct.
The Challenge & Solution
Forums and marketplaces are usually bolted together badly, sharing accounts but leaking data and moderation across two very different jobs. We engineered one identity with two cleanly isolated engines, so community and commerce coexist without contaminating each other.
Architecture
A frontend-first build on the Next.js 16 App Router, Tailwind CSS v4, and shadcn/ui, with modular Public, Account, and Admin layout shells mapped onto a Supabase backend for Auth, Postgres, and Realtime synchronisation.
Telemetry & Outcomes
A rigorous 5-tier role-based access hierarchy culminating in an absolute God Mode, powering granular moderation queues, user-level overrides, and isolated administrative tooling across separated domain scopes.
